Yearly Climate

January : Cold during the night and mornings but lovely sunny day’s possible. It is possible to catch Catfish in this month but we concentrate on our Winter Carp fishing tours which are very productive at this time of year. Great winter fishing!

February : Cold nights but warmer during the day. The Catfish are starting to feed again after the cold winter months with some great catches to be made when the temperatures are stable. Great winter Carp fishing here when most places in Europe are still not producing fish.

March : Very similar conditions to February but more reliable for the Catfishing as it warms up. This can be an exceptional month for big Catfish after lying up for the winter period they get their feeding heads back on. March is very good for the Carp as well with both species feeding well.

April : A great month for Catfishing with the weather changeable. It can be really warm during the day with possible showers but cool at night.

May : The weather is now more stable and pretty warm during the day. The Catfishing can be excellent at this time with the Cats heavy with spawn producing some big fish.

June : A great month for the weather, nice and warm and stable conditions. The Catfish are feeding very well.

July : The weather now is quite hot and stable and the Catfish are feeding really well with some very big catches possible.

August : The hottest month of the year but still plenty of Catfish feeding well. Once again some really big catches are possible just fishing the mornings and evenings as the Catfish tend to slow down a little during the hottest part of the day and feed when it’s cooler. Bring plenty of sun cream!

September : Still pretty hot and great for the Catfishing with some huge catches possible.

October : Still hot during the day but a little cooler at night. A great month for Catfishing with some big catches to be had before it starts to cool down. We start our Winter Carp fishing tours towards the middle of this month as the river temperatures begin to fall and the Carp start to shoal up.

November : Can be warm during the day but colder at night. It’s your last chance for some nice weather and some great Catfishing. Some very big Catfish are possible as the Cats begin to feed up for winter. The Carp fishing now is very good as the Carp are shoaled up and feeding well.

December : Weather similar to November. Still possible to catch Catfish with some surprising results. The Carp fishing is excellent now with some very big catches possible. Great Christmas and New Year fishing.
